BLUEGRASS & BBQ SERIES AT DIGBY’S RESTAURANT

NEWBURY, NH – Bluegrass music has its origins in the pre-Civil War South, but in recent years it’s been thriving in New England. Digby’s Restaurant, located directly between Lake Sunapee State Beach and Mt. Sunapee, has created a venue for the burgeoning population of local Bluegrass musicians for the 2010 Summer Season. Bluegrass has traditionally been a family-centered entertainment, and Digby’s is dedicated to welcoming the entire family to this venue.

Beginning June 17 and continuing every Thursday through September 2^nd Digby’s will be featuring the Lake Sunapee Region’s Finest Bluegrass Music on stage under its large entertainment tent. This tent is likely the area’s biggest outdoor venue for hosting a variety of musical acts all season long. The Smokin’ Hot BBQ starts at 5 pm. on Thursday featuring mouthwatering Half BBQ Roast Chicken with Brisket, or Slow-Smoked Beef Ribs with Brisket, along with Coleslaw, Pasta Salad and Fresh Corn for $14.99. Don’t miss the BBQ & Bluegrass Harpoon Draft Pint Special, with Harpoon Brewery give-aways galore! The music starts at 7 p.m. and continues until 11 p.m. and dancing is highly encouraged!
